  1. Test Night for this tent is coming up and the results are surprising!
    Coming soon

  2. Would this tent work for cold night like down in the low 30's or may more lower?

  3. Moto camper. Been using their 2 man for three years now. Why Lynx? Value and ease of set-up and tear down. I only put mine in the provided bag to store it. I typically fold it and stuff into a drybag along with the fly and my sleeping kit, and pack the poles separately on the bike. I use extruded aluminum stakes. I chose the 2 man because I like to stow all my riding gear in the tent with me, but I'm considering getting a 1 person to try out.

  4. 3 season tent, great features , high quality , at 1/2 price as compared to others .. and made in USA… that's a biggie at least for me .. especially after this Virus….

  5. I solo'd 3 lakes in Algonquin with this little guy. The height is amazing, and I love how easy it is to sleep with the fly flaps open. Condensation wasn't an issue, even in 20F nights.

  6. the tent is a solid piece of gear…it's on the heavy side, but a noob won't know the difference. It can get pretty toastie in this thing though. i've used it in heavy rain, sleet, and snow.

  7. where did you get the plasitc tarp for underneath the tent?

  8. I think 80 bucks is a good price if this tent winds up being a good buy. When you search "light backpack tents" it comes up in the first 10 listings. Also when you say "Dont give me more than 100 dollar tents" in the amazon criteria this is the only one from a brand that is recognizable. It also meets the requirement of being light too (4.1 but base weight of 3lb?) So like other say. We are here because we dont want to buy 400 dollar tents that we dont like or dont work. Worst thing for me would be spending that much and then going through light shower and my quilt is wet in the morning. I have NEVER owned a tent that didnt leak no matter what I did to it. (Seam sealant, Campdry) So, I am trying to "get back on the ground" so this tent might be my path back. If in fact it is good. Biggest warning on these youtube channels is you are gonna buy stuff you hate. So I am trying to avoid that.

  9. I think one of the reasons why the tent is very known is because Kraig Adams uses it on his hikes and recommends it. (He Used to use it)

  10. The tent is light and well designed for the price.

  11. Tent is high request because it is one of the least expensive out there. I wish it came with a footprint though. And a quick by the way, ever since I had a bunch of velcro fly connectors tear out I stopped using them. The only difference I have noticed is my tents are easier to set up and tear down.

  12. How good of a tent do you think this is for backpacking? Does the size of it while being packed up seem reasonable?

  13. its a msr hubba clone and its cheap thats why the requests DUH

  14. Does anyone know the absolute minimum weight for this? assuming to take everything you might conceivably need (body, fly, poles, pegs, guys) and no bags or packaging of any sort…

  15. I am going to use on bicycle overnights so it needs to be quick to set up, easy and light weight…I’m 6–1 looking for a good tent system for bicycle touring

  16. WHY DO SO MANY ASKED TO REVIEW THIS TENT??? AMAZON (MAINLY), GOOGLE (ORIGINALLY), ALPS (BEHIND THE SCENES, & OTHER APPS PUSH THIS PRODUCT DURING A CERTAIN TIME OF YEAR; A MATTER OF BUSINESS; IT'S SAID BY CERTAIN SOCIOLOGISTS & PSYCHOLOGISTS THAT CERTAIN HUMAN DECISIONS CAN BE INFLUENCED BY CERTAIN SUGGESTIONS; TO A LARGE EXTENT I AGREE AND I'LL LEAVE IT AT THAT, CAUSE YOU & TRUMP ARE REASONS WHY AT TIMES THOSE THEORIES LOOK LIKE THEY ARE PRINTED ON TOILET PAPER; BY THE WAY THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONEST REVIEWS!!!

  17. You supposed to stake out a tent regardless. Wind or no wind.

  18. 😂 did someone send you a prototype pair of sunglasses?

  19. Hello, can I ask how is the packed size? I would like to throw it on motorcycle behind me and I do not want anything too long/wide when packed. Thank You.

  20. Luke, I am thinking of buying the 3 man Alps Chaos 3 person tent. Inexpensive at $200+. Any advice or insights? I really like it. Thanks, Jeff

  21. So many bored stupid people out there , talking tents rather than using them! What’s new?
Does seem a good and simple tent though, winter in UK has me joining the ranks of the bored shitless!

  22. I'm willing to bet there has been so many requests because of it's Amazon listing – the price point, number of reviews, high ranking listing plus it has the Amazon choice badge – means this tent has more visibility than possibly any other tent in the world. That's how big Amazon is.

  23. Hi. Love your channel. Excellent reviews, especially the rain/will it leak segments for product reviews! Here's a tip; it's good practice to keep your footprint just slightly smaller than the actual tent floor. Footprints are to prevent moisture seepage from where you're putting pressure on the tent floor. If your footprint is larger than your tent floor you'll be encouraging pooling of water under your tent when it rains.

  24. I have this tent. Amazing!

  25. Would be a perfect tent if it wasn't for trying to roll up that damn rainfly

  26. My lynx 1 had 2 windows 🤔

  27. I purchased the Lynx 2 almost two years ago. Awesome tent still holding up like new. Much easier to put up than my friends’s big name tents at less than half the price. Favorite part are the clear windows. It’s come in so handy so many times especially when animals have wandered too close to my campsite it lets me see outside and know if I have to prepare for battle.

  28. Excellent review man. Thanks

  29. It has most of the features that you get in a high-end tent for around 100 dollars. If you get the old version called the Koda, its much less than 100 dollars. aluminum poles, check. clips instead of slide-thru loops, check, vestibule and gear loft, check. The 2 person has 2 doors, check. It's also a very warm tent. Remember that a tent that's too warm is annoying, a tent that's too cold is deadly. Also if your tent is warm you don't need to pack as much sleepwear, and you can bring a much lighter, smaller sleeping bag which offsets the weight of the tent.

  30. I've used one for several years.
The height is great.. I like to be able to sit up when waiting out storms & getting up at night.
    Given the price, it's a bargain !
Now, if they made a version in Cuben ……

  31. Just bought this tent (now called the Koda?) new for $50 at Steepandcheap.com. Planning on using it for a month of camping in Ireland. Watching the "waterproof" episode next with special interest…I really like how tall, long, and narrow it is. I'm over six feet and I've been buying backpacking tents since 1990, when a Northface one-man was $300 (over $500 in today's cash), you couldn't sit up in it, and it weighed 12 lbs.

  32. We got this tent thinking that it would be great for my daughter to sleep in. We have yet to test it seeing as just got it.

  33. Using this tent this fall for an 11 day back country elk hunting trip. I

  34. A lot of people check Amazon and this is one of the first tents that appears when searching for 1 person backpacking tents.

  35. Seems like a hot box with fly on, otherwise can’t block out the morning sun .the little vents don’t look big enough to move air.
